The Danish physician Gunner Ødum wrote in the Danish newspaper Aarhuus Stiftstidende on November 1rst 1980 (excerpt):
… I have my own theory about why Alma Nissens cure works for pretty much all forms of arthritis, asthma, chronic bronchitis, migraine, psoriasis and Bechterews disease – a disease that gives the patient at totally stiff back and neck.
The times I’ve visited Alma Nissen – a month in total – I’ve seen many cases where people got healthier every day, and I have spoken to former patients who remain healthy.
It’s clear that destroyed joint cartilage cannot be restored, but the joints are often moving and painless.
Not everyone gets healthy, but all get better.
No one knows the cause of arthritis, but my – and Alma Nissen’s – theory is that meat eaters get rot bacteria in the gut – including clostridium.
Alma Nissen’s cure works in a way so garlic kills the rot bacteria gradually and the defense mechanism is gradually restored.
The potato soup is strongly alkaline and helps by neutralize and dissolve the acidic salts which are deposited in the joints.
By continuing to eat vegetarian food after the cure – preferably raw vegetables – they avoid the formation of new rot bacteria and keep the disease in check, even if they are predisposed to it.
If you start to eat meat, the disease will quickly brake out again.
This is not natural medicine in its strict sense, but healthy living, says doctor Gunner Ødum in Aarhuus Stiftstidende.
To be continued …
This page is part of an ongoing translation of the Danish Book: Gigtens gåde er løst (the mystery of arthritis is solved) by Peter Laursen. The book was published in 1989 by the Danish publishing house Hellas, and tells the story of Alma Nissen, who for more than 30 years cured thousands of patients for amongst other things arthritis, psoriasis, asthma, pneumonia, herpes, gallstones and migraines with something as simple as potato soup and garlic, mild exercise, enough sleep and a lot of common sense. Through all those years Alma fought to make doctors put away their prescription pads and realize that drugs against arthritis are worse than the disease itself. The book – Gigtens gåde er løst – tells Alma Nissens story in her own words and gives us the solution, so we can help ourselves, when the medical establishment refuses to.
I think that this is one of those few books that really can have a huge impact on the life and health of the reader, and that’s why I translate it into English, so more people can get access to Alma Nissens wisdom.
