I don’t treat psoriasis like a skin disease, but as a kidney problem. In psoriasis patients the kidneys are not able to excrete waste products, but the skin isn’t intended to take over the work of the kidneys, even though it’s the body’s largest excretion organ. That’s the reason for the disease.
The first thing I do, when patients with psoriasis arrive here, is to ask them for their medication for the disease. Then I take the medication away from them
These symptom suppressing medications are part of the patient’s tragedy.
After that the patients get the drinking cure with three liters of potato water a day, to flush the kidneys.
All the uric acid and uric acid calcium salts that have accumulated in the body are neutralized by the alkaline minerals from the potato water.
Most psoriasis patients are more or less damaged by thick crusts on their skin. Normally the patients try to free themselves from those crusts by scratching.
To help the patient get rid of the crusts I first give him/her pajamas. Then I put him/her into a bathtub so the pajamas get wet. I press most of the superfluous water away and then I wrap the patient in plastic and he/she lies in it till the next morning.
When I unwrap the patient in the morning, all the crusts are completely dissolved. I use a large soft sponge to wipe all crusts away so the patient is completely freed of this coating.
Afterwards the patient gets a hot shower – followed by an ice cold shower. Then he/she is wrapped in a towel and finally I lubricate the entire body in garlic oil.
To be continued.
This page is part of an ongoing translation of the Danish Book: Gigtens gåde er løst (the mystery of arthritis is solved) by Peter Laursen. The book was published in 1989 by the Danish publishing house Hellas, and tells the story of Alma Nissen, who for more than 30 years cured thousands of patients for amongst other things arthritis, psoriasis, asthma, pneumonia, herpes, gallstones and migraines with something as simple as potato soup and garlic, mild exercise, enough sleep and a lot of common sense. Through all those years Alma fought to make doctors put away their prescription pads and realize that drugs against arthritis are worse than the disease itself. The book – Gigtens gåde er løst – tells Alma Nissens story in her own words and gives us the solution, so we can help ourselves, when the medical establishment refuses to.
I think that this is one of those few books that really can have a huge impact on the life and health of the reader, and that’s why I translate it into English, so more people can get access to Alma Nissens wisdom.
